Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need reservations?

Yes. Tours often sell out, especially during peak season and on weekends, so reservations are recommended. However, you can always check for last-minute availability. Check availability here and book now!

How many people are allowed on each tour?

Each public tour allows up to 10 guests, which helps keep the experience personal and engaging. We also offer private tour bookings, which are perfect for larger groups, weddings, or corporate events. To book a private tour, contact us!

How long is the tour?

Tours typically last 90 to 100 minutes. The exact length may vary slightly depending on guest questions and just how much fun everyone is having!

Is the tour accessible for wheelchairs or scooters?

Yes! The entire tour—from stop 1 to stop 20—is fully accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.

Where exactly does this walking tour go?

The tour begins on Main Street, takes a few turns down nearby back and side streets, and finishes at Broyhill Park.

Will there be places to sit and rest or use the facilities?

Yes. There are benches and ledges along the route where guests can rest. The tour also includes one 10-minute bathroom break.

What is the terrain like during the walk?

The entire tour takes place on fully paved sidewalks with curb ramps. While Blowing Rock is a mountain town, the route is mostly flat. There is one short stretch with a gentle incline, but we keep a relaxed pace and include a rest shortly after.

Where does the tour start?

Tours depart from the parking lot next to 983 Main Street, located in the heart of historic downtown Blowing Rock.

We understand that plans can change! Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to receive a full refund.
